Ironic Shift: Erika Kirk Now Could Be Role Model for Becoming Famous

Dash the hopes of conservatives that Erika Kirk could convert Gen Z females to the role of dutiful wife and prolific child bearer. If this widow of Charlie Kirk survives the bashing after the unearthing of the 2012 music video "She's My Kind of Crazy" she could become the accidental template for how young women can achieve fame.

Media coverage of the response to the video as well as the 1.9k comments (so far) to just one article all hammer this: Erika always has chased fame.

Now that she got it, at least for now, those with the same lust for extreme attention, could connect the dots and figure out how they too can follow the pattern.

But the fame-seekers might also have to add on the learning curve how to hold onto fame. Erika might not be able to.

After the denim jeans shorts, tattoo and oversized seductive smiling in the video she could be squeezed out of the conservative embrace. In addition, the viral meme is that no way is Erika behaving like The Grieving Widow. One comment to the Yahoo "She's My Kind of Crazy" analysis sizes up what could be the new national mindset:

"For someone who lost her husband tragically just about 2 months ago, she is the happiest I have ever seen. Wearing the tightest leather clothing, smooching with the vice president, doing tours and just beaming with smiles and glitter."

Fame is a fragile entity.

So far, Trump administration Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has survived the shock of her Vanity Fair series of interviews. But she has lots more power, influence and allies than does Erika.

Essentially few really like Hillary Clinton but she's still here as a thought leader, still grabbing media space. Hillary is authentically brilliant. She does have something to say.

Megyn Kelly already has put together a major comeback. Her core competence, proven out over and over, is the ability to manage controversy, turning it to her advantage.

Erik isn't in that league. She had the lucky break of marrying a man who did achieve some fame. Then, and we know what followed that. It's unlikely she can hold onto what she has recently acquired. Conservatives might mandate she return home to take care of the kids.

In my coaching I am observing that those focused on earning a good living are cautious in how high their profile is. Fame can render you a target. Soon you can find that "they" have made it their business to force you out.

Success is a mental game. Failure comes from being done in by the “committee” in your head.
